At Maverick VR, we recently had the privilege of partnering with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to create a virtual tour video of their Hope Lodge facility—an experience that was as meaningful as it was inspiring.

What is the Hope Lodge?
The Hope Lodge is a vital program run by the American Cancer Society that provides free lodging to cancer patients and their caregivers while they receive treatment far from home. These facilities offer more than just a place to stay—they provide a supportive, home-like environment where patients can focus on healing without the added stress of finding affordable accommodations.
Each Hope Lodge is equipped with private guest rooms, shared kitchens, dining areas, and common spaces where guests can connect and support one another. It’s a place where compassion meets comfort.
Our Role: Bringing the Lodge to Life Through Video
When ACS approached us about showcasing the Hope Lodge through video, we jumped at the chance. The goal was to create a virtual tour that not only walks viewers through the facility but also captures the spirit and heart behind it. We wanted to make it feel as warm and welcoming on screen as it is in person.
This video was designed to:
Help new guests and their families know what to expect before arriving
Show donors and supporters the real impact of their contributions
Raise awareness of the incredible work ACS is doing across the country
Would Your Organization Benefit From a Tour Video?
Creating this video for the Hope Lodge sparked an idea—could your organization or nonprofit benefit from something similar?
If you manage a:
Hospital, clinic, or treatment center
Community shelter or transitional housing
School or educational program
Arts or cultural space
Museum or visitor center
…we’d love to talk about how a virtual tour or video overview can help you tell your story, showcase your space, and inspire action.
Whether it’s to inform, invite, or engage, a well-crafted video tour can make a powerful impression.
