5 Virtual Reality (VR) Success Stories

We have been busy this past month here at Maverick VR putting together custom Virtual Reality (VR) booths at various events, conferences, conventions, trade shows, and brand activations nationwide. Here are 5 recent Virtual Reality (VR) Success Stories.

The Trip of a Lifetime

Objective:

Create an experience that 1. Promotes the client’s ‘Trip of a Lifetime’ giveaway and 2. Integrates with the other games/experiences at the convention’s ‘Backyard’ relaxation area.

Solution:

  • Two branded Virtual Reality (VR) booths with background signage, headset branding, table signage, and TV/monitor brand exposure featuring the ‘Backyard’ logo

  • Run Google Earth VR for guests excited about the possibility winning a trip to anywhere in the world visit their favorite destinations in Virtual Reality (VR).

Result:

We had guests lining up to visit destinations all over the world. From scouting potential locations to revisiting old homes, guests were engaged in and out of the Virtual Reality (VR) experience.

Boston Pride

Objective:

Create a booth at a Boston-Based convention that features custom games/experiences to entertain guests and show Boston pride.

Solution:

  • A Virtual Reality (VR) booth with custom background signage that resembles the iconic baseball stadium Fenway Park.

  • Pre-loaded Boston destinations on Google Earth VR

  • Rhythm-based games set to the tune of songs by popular Boston bands

  • A custom 360 Virtual Reality (VR) video that let guests ride in the New England Patriots Super Bowl Champion Parade next to famous Quarterback Tom Brady

  • Entertaining Virtual Reality (VR) sports games including Home Run Derby and Virtual Reality Quarterback

Result:

Guests loved the Fenway Park signage and were eager to try many of the Boston themed Virtual Reality games and experiences. We had guests taking photos of each other, having a fun time, and trying to beat each other’s highscores!

Dive Deep

Objective:

Create an experience to draw in and engage convention guests while also aligning with the client’s marketing theme: ‘Dive Deep.’

Solution:

  • Two branded Virtual Reality (VR) booths with headset branding, table signage, and TV/monitor brand exposure featuring the client’s logo

  • Feature several different underwater Virtual Reality (VR) games and experiences allowing guests to encounter whales, dolphins, schools of tropical fish, etc.

Result:

Man these booths were busy! We had guests running to grab their co-workers and friends to get in line and explore the ocean depths at the fully branded Virtual-Reality (VR) booth.

Home Run Derby Contest

Objective:

Create a competition to span over several days to draw people into the client’s booth at a large convention.

Solution:

A virtual Home Run Derby contest that included:

  • A fully branded Virtual Reality (VR) booth with background signage, headset branding, table signage, TV/monitor brand exposure, and prizes and giveaways (caramel corn, T-Shirts, etc) featuring a custom Home Run Derby Contest logo

  • A Grand Prize of a trophy and gift card to the MLB Shop

  • A Leaderboard to encourage competition throughout the multi-day conference

  • A ‘Playoff’ match against towards the end of the conference featuring guests with the highest scores on the leaderboard

Result:

Guests were constantly walking past the client’s booth to pick up giveaways, check the leaderboard, and hit some home runs. The event ended with a huge crowd of attendees who gathered to watch the playoffs.

Your Mountain. Your Movement.

Objective:

Create an experience to draw in and engage convention guests while also aligning with the client’s marketing theme: ‘Your Mountain. Your Movement.’

Solution:

  • A fully branded Virtual Reality (VR) booth with background signage, headset branding, table signage, TV/monitor brand exposure, and premium giveaways (multi-tools, winter hats, notebooks) featuring the client’s logo

  • Run a Mt. Everest climbing simulator allowing guests to walk famous trails and take in the view of the highest summit on earth.

Result:

We caught the eyes of many attendees as they walked by and successfully lured them into the booth with the tempting offer of being able to see the summit of Everest at the Virtual Reality (VR) booth. Once the Virtual Reality (VR) experience ended, the client was able to start a dialogue with the attendee and turn the VR experience into a sales lead.

Looking to add a unique, immersive, and exciting new experience to your event?  Skip the boring photo booth and choose an amazing experience that your guests will be talking about for years to come with virtual reality!
